Two more former Georgia defensive standouts have agreed to their initial NFL contracts with the teams that drafted them last Thursday. After Travon Walker and Devonte Wyatt did so with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Green Bay Packers respectively, Jordan Davis and Quay Walker become the third and fourth, agreeing to terms with the Philadelphia Eagles and Packers too.

Jordan Davis contract details

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Davis has signed his four-year, fully guaranteed $17 million deal that includes a $9.55 million signing bonus. Davis was selected No. 13 overall after the Eagles traded up to grab the former Bednarik Award and Outland Trophy winner. He was named to the All-SEC and All-American teams by numerous media outlets for his performance in 2021 with 32 total tackles including 5.5 for lost yardage and 2.0 quarterback sacks all while earning the honor of a permanent team captain for the National Championship winning Bulldogs.

Quay Walker joins Wyatt with Packers

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero later reported that Quay Walker’s deal with the Packers was also done, joining Wyatt in doing so. Wyatt’s deal is projected to be worth $13.84 million with a $7.24 million signing bonus. Walker started all 15 games for Georgia at inside linebacker with 67 stops, third best on the team, along with 5.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 quarterback sacks, 25 quarterback pressures and three pass breakups. He led the Bulldogs with eight tackles in the National Championship Game against Alabama while also having a career high six quarterback pressures on Crimson Tide quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young.

The deals that Travon Walker and Wyatt signed are worth $37.371 million with a $24.36 million singing bonus for Walker and $12.86 million with a $6.533 signing bonus for Wyatt. All in all, Georgia’s program record breaking first round is expected to combine for nearly $150 million in contracts and over $50 million in signing bonuses. Lewis Cine is the only first rounder from Georgia still unsigned as he continues to figure things out with the Minnesota Vikings.
