We’re on to Georgia’s tenth game of the season and the final home game for the Bulldogs. DawgsHQ’s crew takes a look at how we think UGA might fare in this week’s ranked matchup between Georgia and Ole Miss under the Sanford Stadium lights.

*** Georgia did not cover the spread last week against Missouri. The Bulldogs won by 9 and were favored by 15. This week, the spread is once again double-digits at 10.5.

Jeremy Johnson (21-27-4)

This is the one that lives up to the billing. Georgia squeaks it out late. This is Carson Beck’s coming out party nationally as he makes big throws late and often to help Georgia to big win. (Georgia 37, Ole Miss 34)

Rusty Mansell

I am going to go to with Georgia as Daijun Edwards has a big day. Two touchdowns and 100+ yards rushing for him. (Georgia 30, Ole Miss 17)

Jake Reuse (22-26-4)

I’ve been going back and forth this week as to whether or not Ole Miss is the best team Georgia has faced this year, and I think I lean toward no being the answer. I think Lane Kiffin is an offensive mastermind, and that’s going to inevitably cause problems for a Georgia secondary that has looked susceptible at times, including last week. Mizzou, however, had the better horses for my money, and as such, I think Georgia can handle business as necessary this week. Interested in how the weather plays in here, but either way, I think Daijun Edwards is due for a big day. (Georgia 31, Ole Miss 17)

Jake Rowe (23-25-4)

I have picked Georgia to cover quite a few times this year and I haven’t been right much. With that said, the Bulldogs just keep winning. I like this matchup for the Bulldogs, especially at home. Ole Miss wants to go really fast and we learned last year when Georgia hosted Tennessee how tough that can be if Sanford Stadium is rocking. I expect the Bulldogs to play some bend-don’t-break defense, dial up the pressure on third down, and get stops, especially in the second half. I think the Rebels will get their fair share of stops as well in what ends up being a fairly low-scoring game compared to most predictions that I’ve seen. (Georgia 31, Ole Miss 21)

Palmer Thombs (29-19-4)

Excited to see the matchup that we’ve got on our hands this Saturday, a showdown of two top-10 teams. Much like last week, I trust Georgia’s defense to get a stop more than I do the Ole Miss unit in a battle of two strong offensive squads. My big prediction for the week – which has been what I’ve said all along – is that I think Brock Bowers gets in the game. He’s going to have a limited role, but it’ll be impactful. Carson Beck bounces back from last week’s subpar showing with a big one and the Bulldogs dominate under the Sanford Stadium lights all around. (Georgia 38, Ole Miss 17)
