FanDuel shares win total, look ahead lines for 2024 Georgia
Football season comes to an end on Sunday night, and for college football fans, things have been over for a month now. However, FanDuel says it’s never too early to start looking ahead – releasing a regular season win total of 10.5 for Georgia and lines for several of the Bulldogs’ 2024 games already.
Georgia-Clemson, Georgia-Alabama, Georgia-Texas and Georgia-Ole Miss are among the select marquee matchups that FanDuel already has lines out for. The Bulldogs are favorites in all four matchups, coming in as large as 12.5-point favorites over Clemson and as small as just 1.5-point favorites against Texas. Both Alabama and Ole Miss feature UGA as 3.5-point favorites on the road.
That’s not all you can bet on the Bulldogs right now either. Futures for the National Championship and Heisman Trophy have been out for longer. Georgia is +300 to take home a third title in four seasons, edging out Ohio State and Texas as the two other teams with better than +1000 odds, while quarterback Carson Beck is tied with Texas’ Quinn Ewers for the best odds to win the sport’s most coveted individual trophy at +750.
Georgia is considered by most to be the No. 1 team in the country coming into 2024, listed in the top spot for all sorts of “Way Too Early” polls. Claiming another championship won’t come easy though as UGA takes on a tough schedule featuring road games at Alabama, Texas and Ole Miss – all three of whom are likely to be top-10 teams – and other matchups with the likes of Clemson and Tennessee, plus rivals Florida, Auburn and Georgia Tech. Rounding out the power conference opponents Georgia plays are Kentucky and Mississippi State while Tennessee Tech and UMass are also on the schedule.
An over bet on the win total of 10.5 would assume no more than one loss. Doing that would be pretty impressive, and almost assuredly put Georgia in the College Football Playoffs – especially with the expanded field of 12 making the cut. An 11-1 record or better would also probably have the Bulldogs playing for the SEC Championship in the first year without divisions as the conference’s top two teams will meet in Atlanta. Georgia has played for the title in six of the last seven seasons but only taken home two trophies (2017, 2022).

Leading the charge is Beck. He threw for the third most yards in the country last season and did so with a Georgia school record completion percentage. He’ll have the help of returnees like Dominic Lovett, Dillon Bell, Oscar Delp and Rara Thomas behind an offensive line that features four players that started at least nine games. Then there’s the newcomers: Florida running back Trevor Etienne, Miami wide receiver Colbie Young, Vanderbilt wide receiver London Humphreys, USC wide receiver Michael Jackson III and Stanford tight end Benjamin Yurosek. The five transfer on offense make up the majority of a seven-player transfer class – so far.
On defense, Malaki Starks is a returning All-American, and others including Smael Mondon, Mykel Williams and CJ Allen have that kind of potential. Featuring several former five-stars, plenty of other talented players and a fair share that have experience too, expecting big things from the Georgia defense once again is understandable.
Georgia will begin spring practice in just over a month as the Bulldogs are expected to get underway following the University’s spring break. Kirby Smart and his staff will have 15 sessions to work with the team to begin preparations for the 2024 season including three scrimmages – the final of which is open to the public on G-Day for the annual spring game. Dates and times are still to be announced.
