Football is back: Where are Georgia commits and targets playing?

Georgia football commits and targets will be back on the field for real on Friday night and Saturday. A few games have been played around the state of Georgia this week.

The full slate of games will kick off the 2023 season beginning tonight and Saturday. We take a look at where some of Georgia’s commits will be to open their 2023 seasons.

This list will be a mixture of commits and high-profile 2025 targets. Below will also be highlights of games that feature multiple Georgia targets.

Buford (Ga.) vs St. Francis Academy (MD.)

The Skinny: This is one of the premier matchups on the docket tonight. The game will not be televised. From a Georgia perspective, there will be two commits on the field. Five-star Georgia commit Dylan Raiola and Jadon Perlotte will be on the Buford side. St. Francis will bring four-star signal caller Micheal Van Buren, an Oregon commit, to town. A few young names to watch for Georgia fans will be Osiris Gilbert, Justin Baker, Nasir McCoy and Dylan McCoy. That group either has early Georgia offers or have at least camped at Georgia. St. Francis’s defense is full of Georgia interest. 2025 defensive linemen Trent Wilson, Brandon Thomas and Cortez Harris. 2026 defensive lineman James ‘Tank’ Carrington is another young prospect to know. 2025 four-star cornerback Blake Woodby has an offer from the Bulldogs as well.

Carrolton vs Langton Hughes

The Skinny: Both programs boast major quarterback prospects, Ohio State commit Air Noland and 2026 quarterback of Carrollton Julian ‘Juju’ Lewis will pilot the two teams. This game is set for a 6 p.m. kick on ESPN. Lewis is a major early target for the Bulldogs. Four-star Alabama tight end commit Caleb Odom is his top target returning. Langston Hughes also features a few young Georgia targets, 2025 offensive tackle Tavaris Dice, Maurice Gleaton and Xavier Tiller.
