Four-star cornerback Daniel Harris announces his commitment to Georgia
Four-star cornerback Daniel Harris will be a Bulldog, announcing his decision today via social media.
Ranked as the nation’s No. 138 overall prospect in the 2023 On3 Consensus, Harris becomes Georgia’s third defensive back commitment of the the cycle.
He is joined by fellow four-star prospects AJ Harris and Justyn Rhett in Georgia’s current 2023 class.
While the Consensus may have him in the mid 100s, On3 is considerably higher on his abilities compared to the rest of the industry. In the On300, he is ranked as the nation’s No. 39 overall prospect and No. 4 cornerback in the Class of 2023.
Harris is a 6-foot-2, 175-pound cornerback and officially visited the Bulldogs during the weekend of June 18.
It was a key experience.
“I had a great time in Athens this weekend. It was an awesome experience,” Harris said after the trip. “I met with the players and coaches and saw the campus. It felt like home, definitely.”
A major aspect? The endorsement of fellow players related to Georgia cornersbacks coach Fran Brown, who Harris has known for some time now.

Michigan prepared to offer No. 1 recruit $10.5M over 4 years
“(I spent time with) Daylen (Everette) and some of the DBs,” he said. “They talked about the program, and (Everette) told me about Coach Fran (Brown), my position coach, and how good of a coach and guy he is.”
The longstanding relationship certainly paid dividends beyond those kind words.
“I mean, he’s a great guy and great coach. I’ve had a great relationship with him for a while now,” Harris said. “I’ve known him since he was at Rutgers.”
Evaluating Daniel Harris
Charles Power, On3 director of scouting and rankings, has offered up a glowing scouting report on the Georgia target.
“Tall corner who has one of the best size and speed combinations among prospects at the position in the 2023 cycle. Has plus stature and length for the position, checking at 6-foot-2, 175 pounds with arm length over 32 inches. Doubles as a strong sprinter with a personal best of 10.74 seconds in the 100 meters through the middle of his junior track season. The physical skill set results in a pure outside corner who excels at turning and running with receivers downfield. Smooth in his transitions, particularly for a taller cornerback. Understands how to best position his body when in-phase with receivers. Capable of locating and turning to track the football. Shows encouraging signs of physicality as a run and cover down defender. Willing to throw his body around and has some striking power. Can continue improving his ball production and tackling form. The physical traits give him one of the more tangible and projectable skill sets among top corners in the 2023 cycle.”
