Four-star OL Cortez Smith officially in the fold for Georgia
When it comes to elite interior offensive line prospects, Parkview High School lineman Cortez Smith fits the bill as well as anyone in the Georgia Class of 2025.
The Lilburn, Georgia-based big man ranks as the nation’s No. 153 overall prospect in the Class of 2025 per the On3 Industry Ranking. Smith is also the No. 10 interior lineman and No. 19 prospect the state of Georgia per the same metric.
Ticking the tape at 6-foot-3, 315 pounds, Smith joined the Georgia class in late July, though he was long projected to be a lean for the Bulldogs. His own words were key in that thought process, as well.

“It’s the perfect college environment that has a super support system,” Smith told DawgsHQ’s Jeremy Johnson after his official visit to Athens this summer.
He chose the Bulldogs over the likes of Georgia Tech, Miami, and South Carolina, among others. Smith, the highest ranked offensive lineman in Georgia’s 2025 class, is part of five man offensive line commit group, which includes fellow four-stars Dontrell Glover, Juan Gaston, Mason Short, and Dennis Uzochukwu.
Scouting Report on Cortez Smith
“We view Smith as a true center prospect. That’s what he plays at Parkview, though he’s played some other spots on the offensive line. He has positional flexibility, as he’s played guard, but I think the fact he has experience snapping and understanding the mechanics of the position sets him up for a pretty seamless transition to play center at Georgia. Having seen him in person a few times, he’s really well built and has even weight distribution throughout his body. He’s a guy who is very strong at the point of attack, and you see that on film, as well. I think he’s a very strong run blocker. As a center, Cortez Smith projects as a plus run blocker for the position. I think he’s going to be a bigger, stronger center than what we see from these types in high school. I think he’ll come in advanced in that area. I think he’ll create a significant push in the run game at the position. He has positive athletic indicators, going over 53 feet in the shot put. That validates that explosive power.” – On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power on Cortez Smith
