ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia Basketball fans can mark their calendars. The Bulldogs released their full non-conference schedule on Friday just days after the SEC’s announcement of dates for conference games.

In total, UGA will host 19 games at Stegeman Coliseum including one preseason exhibition against a power conference opponent, getting underway officially with a 7:30 p.m. ET tipoff on Monday, November 4th against Tennessee Tech.

Texas Southern (November 10th) and North Florida (November 12th) make trips to The Steg to start the season too as part of a multi-team Peach State Classic. Each of them will also play at Georgia Tech.

Speaking of the in-state rival, Clean Old-Fashioned Hate takes to the hardwood in Atlanta this year with a November 15th matchup at McCamish Pavilion. Other marquee matchups in the non-con against power conference opponents come in the Bahamas with back to back Big East teams (Marquette – November 23 / St. John’s – November 24th) and in the ACC/SEC Challenge when Georgia hosts Notre Dame (December 3). UGA will also play Grand Canyon coming off of an NCAA Tournament appearance in the Holiday Hoopsgiving event at State Farm Arena in Atlanta on December 14th.

Last year, Georgia was the only team in the six basketball power conferences to play a pair of games against power conference opponents to open the season and took on six in total (Oregon, Wake Forest, Miami, Providence, Florida State, Georgia Tech) across the 13 non-conference games. It helped prepare the Bulldogs for when they made an appearance in the NIT, making a run to the semifinals with wins over Xavier, Wake Forest and Ohio State including the latter two on the road.

As for the SEC slate, the Bulldogs will open league play on Saturday, January 4th with a road trip to Ole Miss before returning home on Tuesday or Wednesday (January 7/8) to play Kentucky. Oklahoma follows that on Saturday the 11th, creating one of two back-to-backs at Stegeman Coliseum.

Georgia will host in total five conference Saturday games (Auburn – January 18, Mississippi State – February 8, Missouri – February 14, Vanderbilt – March 8 in addition to Oklahoma) with South Carolina (January 28/29) LSU (February 4/5) and Florida (February 25/26) also making trips to the Classic City. Other road games for the Bulldogs include the following: Tennessee (January 14/15), Arkansas (January 21/22), Florida (January 25), Alabama (February 1), Texas A&M (February 11/12), Auburn (February 22), Texas (March 1) and South Carolina (March 4/5).

Georgia will be led by a trio of returnees from last year’s team that won 20 games for the first time in eight seasons. Freshman All-SEC point guard Silas Demary returns alongside Blue Cain and Dylan James and will be joined by a talented cast of newcomers. In the Class of 2024, the Bulldogs signed five-star plus+ forward Asa Newell, former Kentucky commit Somto Cyril, Serbian international standout Savo Drezgic as well as 2025 reclass Jordyn Kee. Meanwhile, by way of the transfer portal, UGA added the likes of DeShayne Montgomery (Mount St. Mary’s), Justin Abson (Appalachian State), Dakota Leffew (Mount St. Mary’s), RJ Godfrey (Clemson) and Tyrin Lawrence (Vanderbilt).
