Georgia is back on the road on Wednesday night. The Bulldogs will travel to Fayetteville to take on Arkansas at 9 p.m. It will be the first time Georgia takes on Arkansas with former Kentucky head coach John Calipari at the helm of the Razorbacks.

Georgia is coming in after two straight SEC losses to Tennessee in Knoxville and Auburn at home on Saturday.

The Bulldogs sit at 2-3 in conference. Arkansas is still looking for their first SEC win this season. The Razorbacks are 0-5 in conference play at the moment.

The Razorbacks appear to have gotten bad news earlier this week. It has been reported that their point guard, freshman Boogie Fland is likely out for the season due to a hand injury. Fland suffered that injury on Jan. 11 against Florida.

Arkansas will likely lean on former five-star recruit D.J. Wagner. Georgia appears to have a clean bill of health going into Wednesday’s game.

Keys to the game

Georgia needs to get back to the basics on Wednesday night. The Bulldogs should look to feature Asa Newell early.

He has been Georgia’s leading scorer for most of the year. The Bulldogs are now entering the second half of the season and having a star blossom could be a key to where they finish. Newell has the skillset to take over a game and dominate the stat sheet.

Tonight is an opportunity to see how dominant he can be. Run some plays early, let him force the action and see what happens. He’s been an unselfish star so far. Let him go get his tonight and develop some of that dominance factor that big-time players get as they become the man.

Writer’s Prediction: Georgia 65, Arkansas 62.
