Georgia 4-star QB commit Ryan Montgomery invited to Elite 11

Findlay (Ohio) four-star quarterback Ryan Montgomery keeps piling on the accolades. The Georgia pledge has been invited to the Elite 11 Finals set for mid-summer.
Montgomery hit the road on Sunday to take part in the Pennsylvania regional. A combination of his film and his performance on Sunday made him a part of the growing list of elite signal callers preparing to compete in Los Angeles in the summer.
Montgomery was appreciative of the honor. Elite 11 is an event that Montgomery has respected since he was a youngster.
“Getting an invite is surreal,” Montgomery said. “I’ve always wanted to be a part of this fraternity as I have followed Elite 11 since Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields were in it. Its a huge accomplishment.”
Ryan Montgomery pledged to Georgia
Montgomery committed to the Bulldogs last month. He chose Georgia over Florida and South Carolina. He’s the No. 185 overall prospect in the On3 Industry Rankings.

Georgia checked every box Montgomery had.
“Georgia was the only school that checked all of the boxes for me,” Montgomery told DawgsHQ following his commitment.
Winning
“I just want to win at a very high level,” Montgomery said. “I know Georgia is going to compete for championships year in and year out.”
Stability
“Stability was also a big thing,” Montgomery said. “Coach Smart and coach Bobo won’t be going anywhere anytime soon. I know they’re going to stay at Georgia, and I know that’s where they’re going to be. I trust them about that.”
Culture
“It was how they approach things, like practice and how they want to get better each and every day,” Montgomery said. “I remember visiting Georgia a year ago and they were coming off back-to-back national championships. They were approaching things as if they were trying to go get their first national title. That really stuck with me. They’re going to constantly work no matter what. Competing at a place like Georgia, you’re going to be competing against the best every day. That was big in terms of my development.”
