Georgia adds standout offensive tackle Micah DeBose for 2025
The 2025 cycle for the Georgia Bulldogs is off to a roaring start, and the momentum kept rolling on Monday afternoon with a pledge from offensive tackle Micah DeBose of Mobile, Alabama’s Vigor High School.
Debose becomes the fourth commitment of the Class of 2025, joining running back Jabree Wallace-Coleman, EDGE Jadon Perlotte, and defensive lineman Justus Terry.
Terry also committed earlier on Monday.
DeBose, a 6-foot-5, 310-pound rising junior, is the first offensive lineman of the cycle for the Dawgs.
He’d told Chad Simmons last September that he was heavily interested in the offerings of the Georgia Bulldogs after picking up an offer from the staff and taking in a practice in Athens.
“The energy was really great,” DeBose said of Georgia’s practice at the time. “… I love high energy, high reps, everybody going full speed at once. I love that. That is a great practice.”
DeBose was also quick to comment on Georgia offensive line coach Stacy Searels, telling Simmons that the veteran coach was a ‘great guy’.
In what he was looking for in a school, DeBose also pointed toward the want, something Georgia made clear over time.

“I want to go to a school who wants me for me, who wants me a player,” DeBose said.
Micah DeBose was just in Athens this past weekend for the Bulldogs’ National Championship Parade.
Georgia recruiting
The Bulldogs currently sit with the No. 5 class in the 2025 rankings per the On3 rankings.
In 2024, they’re also off to a blazing start, with the Bulldogs currently ranked as the No. 2 class with eight commitments.
While they’ll be seeking to finish out the 2023 class with a commitment from No. 1 tight end and five-star prospect Duce Robinson, the Dawgs are comfortably ranked as the No. 2 class in the country for the cycle.
Of their finish in the early Signing Day, On3’s Keegan Pope shared the following:
“The Bulldogs have a chance between now and February to close in a major way, with five-stars Duce Robinson and Nyckoles Harbor both considering Georgia. But Kirby Smart and Co. got on the board with their first five-star on Wednesday by landing Venice (Fla.) EDGE Damon Wilson, the No. 4 player in the On300 rankings.
They also reeled back in four-star cornerback Daniel Harris, who ranks as a top-50 prospect by On3, and also snagged running back Kyron Jones, a former NC State commit. Borderline five-star Jordan Hall is set to commit on Thursday with the Bulldogs considered to be the heavy favorites.”
