Georgia has signed another play-making wideout from the high school ranks and this time it’s a player from the Bulldogs’ own backyard. North Oconee (Bogart, Ga.) wideout Landon Roldan is officially in the class after being announced as a signee by the school on Tuesday. He’s the 19th player to ink with the Bulldogs and the third wideout joining CJ Wiley and Thomas Blackshear.

Roldan’s recruitment picked up this summer when he worked out for Georgia twice in person. The Bulldogs liked what they saw in the first workout but did not extend an offer. Once they got a second look at him, they decided to push for a commitment.

UGA got him on the commitment list on June 27, after official visits had concluded for the summer. It beat out Georgia Tech and it’s connection to Roldan. His quarterback at North Oconee is Harrison Faulkner, son of Yellow Jacket offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner.

At 6-foot-1 175 pounds, Roldan is the nation’s No. 413 overall prospect and No. 66 wideout per the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that includes all four websites that publish recruiting rankings. He’s the No. 55 player in Georgia.

While North Oconee hasn’t yet posted stats for the 2024 season. Roldan has had a monster senior season while playing receiver and cornerback. As a junior he caught 50 passes for 1,029 yards and 13 touchdowns will rushing for three more scores.

As any recruit would, Roldan did his due diligence during the recruitment process. The proximity to Athens didn’t convince him to commit to quickly but his desire to be a Bulldog was ultimately too much for any other team to overcome.

It was my dream growing up to play for Georgia, so after thinking about it for a couple of days, I couldn’t pass up committing to Georgia,” Roldan told On3. “Georgia has a great coaching staff, it is a great locker room of guys, the atmosphere is electric and they have a winning history.
