ATHENS, Ga. — The University of Georgia Athletic Association announced changes to its football ticket pricing plans on Friday at their annual fall Board of Directors meeting. The new model will go into affect in 2025 with season tickets costing fans $560, plus the required per-seat contribution minimum in order to be eligible.

Georgia has changed its pricing model just three times since 2005. Another is on its way in 2027 however, adjusting per-seat contribution requirements at that time. Pricing for 2027 will be made available in mid-February.

The “step plan” is designed to keep increases smaller and allow donors to financially plan for the changes UGA will implement over the next few years. The latest changes will keep UGA in the bottom third of total ticket costs (ticket cost plus per-seat contribution requirement) still as compared to SEC and Big Ten peer institutions.

Georgia’s current ticket pricing model places non-conference games at $55 and conference games at $75. That makes 2024 season tickets a total of $410 and would put 2025 – a schedule that features home dates against Marshall, Austin Peay, Charlotte, Alabama, Kentucky, Ole Miss and Texas – at $465. The new model, a flat fee of $80 per game, would have 2024 (six home games) costing $480 and 2025 (seven home games) priced at $560.

Also a part of the adjustments being made for 2025 are to parking, implementing a tiered contribution requirement for $100 passes. Minimum contributions for current parking lots starts at $2,500 with higher contribution levels being required for passes closer to the stadium. Georgia is also exploring more parking options at lower contribution levels, working with Parking Services to do so. Hartman Fund contributions made for football tickets also count towards parking.

Of Georgia’s more than 13,000 season ticket holders, who account for approximately 57,000 of the now more than 93,000 seats at Sanford Stadium, less than half will be required to increase their contribution 46.6% of accounts will be required to increase their contribution from 2024 while 16.9% of accounts will actually have seat contribution minimums decrease.

Personalized email explanations will be sent to each current season ticket holder, but no decision needs to be made until mid-February when the 2025 Hartman Fund campaign and football season ticket renewal/request process begins. The deadline for renewal/request is April 1, 2025 – when per-seat minimums must be met by – and the selection process will begin in mid-May.
