Georgia assistants including Glenn Schumann sign contract extensions
Georgia Football is two games into its season, but the Bulldogs are always looking ahead at the future. That’s why Kirby Smart wants to keep his staff in tact for years to come.
According to an open records request received by the Athens Banner-Herald, several UGA assistants including defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann signed contract extensions this summer. Schumann, along with Tray Scott and Todd Hartley, have contracts that run through June 30, 2027 while the deals for Stacy Searels and Chidera Uzo-Diribe are good through June 30, 2026.
All five of those assistants have been with the Bulldogs since at least the 2022 season. This offseason, Georgia was forced to bring on four assistants: Josh Crawford (RB), James Coley (WR), Travaris Robinson (S), Donte Williams (CB). Coley’s contract, which runs through the June 30, 2026 date, pays him $650,000 this season and will rise to $850,000 on January 1, 2025. Crawford, still relatively inexperienced in his coaching career, is set to be paid $450,000 through the June 30, 2026 date as well.
