Georgia baseball ranked top 10 in presason rankings
Georgia’s baseball team continues to draw preseason praise. The Bulldogs have been named the No. 9 team in the USA Today Coaches Preseason Poll ahead of the start of the 2025 season.
Georgia is entering the season with high expectations after a 43-17 record last season. The Bulldogs hosted a Super Regional in Athens after their strong 2024 campaign. The Bulldogs fell to NC State, one game short of reaching Omaha and the College Baseball World Series.
Georgia will have to replace record-setting third baseman Charlie Condon, who was drafted third overall in the MLB Amateur Draft by the Colorado Rockies.
Georgia returns preseason All-Americans Tre Phelps and Kolten Smith as key pieces in their lineup and pitching rotation.

The Diamond Bulldogs also added an influx of talent to the core already in place on the recruiting side of things. Georgia signed the No. 27 overall-ranked recruiting class in the Perfect Game College Recruit Rankings.
Five of Georgia’s signees were ranked inside the top 300 players in the country according to Perfect Game’s recruiting rankings.
Georgia is nine days away from the start of a new journey. The Bulldogs open the regular season on the road. They will travel to Wilmington N.C. to face Quinnipiac University on Friday, Feb. 14 at noon.
