Georgia basketball adds Saint Mary's transfer guard Jordan Ross

Mike White continues to replenish Georgia’s back court via the transfer portal. He added another piece to the puzzle on Monday as Saint Mary’s guard Jordan Ross has inked with the Bulldogs. Matt Zenitz and Chris Hummer of 247Sports were the first to report.
Ross, who played his high school ball in Utah, stands 6-foot-1 and tips the scales at 170 pounds. He was the nation’s No. 134 overall prospect and No. 10 combo guard in the 2023 class per the On3 Industry rankings He was the No. 7 player in his state.
The 2024-2025 season saw him average 26.7 minutes per game while shooting 29.3 percent from three and 68.7 percent from the free throw line. He averaged 8.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per contest.
Ross had a big-time showing against Vanderbilt in the first round of the 2025 NCAA tournament. He poured in 15 points in a 59-56 win over the Commodores. The also had three points, three assists, and three blocks compared to just one turnover in 33 total minutes.

He was also stellar in the Gaels’ loss to Alabama in the Round of 32. He played 34 minutes in that game, scoring 8 pounds and pulling down four rebounds and committing zero turnovers. Alabama won that game 80-66 to end St. Mary’s season.
The Gael’s went 17-1 in the West Coast Conference and finished the season 29-6 overall. Ross was the team’s fifth-leading scorer.
Georgia has been hit hard in the back court since the season ended, losing Silas Demary, DeShayne Montgomery, Savo Drezgic, and Jordyn Kee to the transfer portal. The Dawgs also lost Dakota Leffew and Tyrin Lawrence to exhausted eligibility. Ross joins former Cal guard Jeremiah Wilkinson and former Wofford shooting guard Justin Bailey as backcourt additions via the portal. The Bulldogs have also landed small forward/wing Kanon Catchings.
