Georgia DB commit Dominick Kelly reclassifies to Class of 2025
Georgia commit Dominick Kelly told DawgsHQ recently that he was feeling strongly in his pledge to the Bulldogs.
“I’m focused on finishing out my season strong,” Kelly said. “Like I said, I feel like the relationship feels real and almost as if I’m there already. I feel like I belong in Athens.”
Now, it appears that he will get a chance to belong in Athens sooner than expected, as On3’s Chad Simmons confirmed that the four-star cornerback is reclassifying to the Class of 2025.
Originally a 2026 recruit, Kelly ranked as the nation’s No. 169 overall prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking for the Class of 2026. He was also the No. 16 cornerback and No. 31 overall prospect in that cycle. It remains to be seen where he will land in the 2025 rankings, but Georgia isn’t concerned with that, as the Dawgs are searching for cornerback help in the Class of 2025.
The IMG-based standout will help a great deal to that end and coaches have been clear about how they feel about him.

“They just tell me how they feel I fit into the Georgia culture, as well as the scheme of the defense. It’s hard nosed, lunch pail type of mentality,” Kelly said. “They play with physicality and situation awareness, as well as stepping up in the biggest moments and pulling out wins. They always talk about assuming nothing and earning your own name.”
A former USC commit, Kelly committed to the Dawgs in late July of this year, and it’s been all up from there.
“Things have been going great. Since I committed, I’ve been in constant communication with the staff and our relationship is very strong,” Kelly said. “What stands out most is how genuine and consistent the staff is. Their energy and message is the same every time we talk, and our relationship is very real.”
Dominick Kelly joins a defensive back class of Todd Robinson, Jontae Gilbert, Jaylan Morgan, and Rasean Dinkins in 2025.
