Georgia DL Zion Logue declares for 2024 NFL Draft
Georgia defensive lineman Zion Logue announced his entry to the NFL Draft on Monday. The Lebanon, Tenn. native spent five seasons in Athens, and shared a brief message about his Bulldog career on social media to make the decision public.
“First and foremost, I want ot give thanks to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Without Him, none of this would be possible! As I pen down these words, a rush of emotions flood over me, reflecting on an incredible five-year journey that has been nothing short of a dream at the University of Georgia,” Logue wrote. “Today, I bid farewell to the hallowed halls and spirited fields that have been my home, having earned two national championships, a Southeastern Conference championship and many more accolades and accomplishments along the way.”
“The memories forged here will forever hold a special place in my heart. From the roar of the crowd to the quiet moments of triumph, each experience has shaped me into the person and athlete I am today,” he continued. “The Bulldog community’s unwavering support has been the bedrock of my success, and I live with profound gratitude for the friendships, lessons and victories that defined my time here. As I take the next step in my journey, I am excited to share that I will be entering my name into the 2024 NFL Draft.”
Logue played in all 14 games for Georgia, making 11 starts. He’ll wear the UGA helmet one last time in the East-West Shrine Bowl where he’ll have an opportunity to showcase his talents ahead of the NFL Draft.

In 2023, Logue totaled 17 tackles including 2.5 for loss. He recorded multiple stops in five straight games after the bye for the Bulldogs as they finished a third straight undefeated regular season.
Logue wraps his career up with 50 games played and 52 tackles.
“This is something that I’ve dreamed of since I was a young boy back in that small town of Lebanon, TN,” Logue added to his statement. “The decision to pursue this new chapter is bittersweet, as I carry the legacy of the Red and Black with me into the professional realm. I am a Bulldog at heart, and the indomitable spirit of Georgia will guide me in the challenges and triumphs that lie ahead. To my coaches, teammates, professors and the entire Bulldog family, thank you for being a part of this incredible ride. Your belief in me fueled my determination, and I am proud to have represened the University of Georgia on and off the field.”
Logue is the latest Georgia player to declare for the draft. So far, nine Bulldogs have done so: safety Javon Bullard, cornerback Kamari Lassiter, offensive lineman Amarius Mims, STAR Tykee Smith, running back Kendall Milton, running back Daijun Edwards, wide receiver Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint and wide receiver Ladd McConkey.
