Spring practice will begin at Georgia in just over two weeks with Pro Day set to follow. The school announced on Monday that the Bulldogs will begin the five-week, 12-practice, three-scrimmage camp on Tuesday, March 12 with a media day. Pro Day will take place the next day.

The dates match up with what we have seen from the program over the past decade plus. The University Georgia takes spring break during the first full week of March and the football team begins practicing the Tuesday after that break is over. UGA announced earlier this month that the G-Day spring scrimmage will be on April 13, marking the first time it has shared a date with The Master’s Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club since Kirby Smart took over as head coach in 2016.

The Bulldogs bring back key pieces on both sides of the ball but none bigger than second-year starting quarterback Carson Beck. He turned down a chance to turn pro after throwing for over 3,900 yards in 14 games. He’ll have an experienced offensive line in front of him, one that returns four players who started at least eight games in 2024. Georgia also brings back its second and fifth-leading receivers in Dominic Lovett and Rara Thomas, respectively. Dillon Bell, who saw snaps at running back and wideout in 2023, is also back.

Spring practice will be our first opportunity to see over two dozen new Bulldogs in action. Georgia had 21 players enroll early and it added six more mid-year enrollees from the transfer portal, headlined by former Florida running back Trevor Etienne.

Defensively Georgia got some great news at the end of the season when Smael Mondon, Nazir Stackhouse, and Warren Brinson all announced that they would come back another season. Georgia brings back approximately 4,000 snaps in the front seven of its defense and over 3,000 in the secondary.

Eleven Georgia players will have a chance to showcase their talent later this week at the NFL Combine. UGA Pro Day, which will take place in 16 days, will be a chance for all of those players to make a second impression on NFL scouts, coaches, and front office personnel as well as other ex-players to work out.
