Georgia Football vs. Georgia Tech: How to watch, listen, stream
It’s rivalry week around the country, and that means time for Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate in the Peach State as No. 1 Georgia takes on Georgia Tech.
The Bulldogs are 11-0 on the season and have won 28 straight, tied for the longest streak in SEC history. Finishing 8-0 in league play for the third straight season, they’ve already got their spot in the SEC Championship Game clinched where they’ll take on Alabama in Atlanta. But first, it’s a trip to the ATL to take on the Yellow Jackets.
“We’re onto Georgia Tech and excited for the prep. I love rivalry week across the country. What makes college football really special to me is all the rivalries you get to watch on this week. A very unique week timing-wise, a lot of distractions with Thanksgiving going on. Those are good distractions, but they are different. How you manage that and how you deal with that is important,” Georgia head coach Kirby Smart said on Monday to open the week.
“A lot of respect for Brent Key and his staff,” he continued. “I’ve known Brent a long time. He played at Tech when I played here. His staff does a great job. Obviously, there’s several guys on his staff that we have worked with before, a lot of overlap. I think we’re both very grateful for a state of high school football in Georgia that provides both of us with a lot of really good football players. He’s done a tremendous job this year. Buster (Faulker’s) done a tremendous job for them, and Kevin (Sherrer) taking over the defense kind of midstream there, he’s done a really good job.”
DawgsHQ will have you covered all week long, including live from Bobby Dodd Stadium on Saturday with updates throughout the day. However, if you’re wanting to tune in for yourself, here’s how you can do so.

It’s the 117th all-time meeting between these two teams, and things have been dominated by the Dawgs, especially recently. Georgia has come out on top in 18 of the last 21 meetings between the two teams including five in a row. The Bulldogs haven’t lost to Tech in Atlanta since 1999, and Vegas doesn’t think they’ll do so this year either. According to DraftKings Sportsbook, Georgia opened as a 23 point favorite.
Quarterback Carson Beck leads a Georgia offense that’s top-5 in the country both for scoring (No. 5, 40.4 points per game) and total yards (No. 4, 501.8 yards per game). Individually, Beck has been equally as impressive, finding himself top-10 in several statistical categories. He could however be without a pair of his top receiving threats this week with Ladd McConkey and Rara Thomas both banged up coming out of Knoxville. That could mean a heavier dose of the ground game with Daijun Edwards and Kendall Milton or more pressure put on the likes of Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint, Dominic Lovett and of course Brock Bowers.
On the flip side of things, Georgia’s defense is also strong. While the Bulldogs have given up a first-drive touchdown in five straight games, they’ve done a great job of letting the early scores not affect the rest of the game. Kirby Smart’s squad is No. 5 for scoring defense, giving up just 15.1 points per game, and No. 9 in the NCAA for total defense (288.1 yards per game). Last year’s leading tackler Smael Mondon picked up where he left off as the linebacker is once again near the top of the leaderboard with 52 tackles, only passed by by Tykee Smith. He’s got 56 to go along with 4 interceptions. Others to watch when the Georgia defense is on the field include Nagurski Trophy finalist for the nation’s top defender Malaki Starks, Kamari Lassiter and a veteran group up front that helps hold things down.
