DawgsHQ has learned another of Georgia’s 2024 SEC opponents with the official announcement coming in approximately a half hour. Persons with knowledge of the situation tell us that the Bulldogs will be playing at Ole Miss in 2024.

We now know three of the Bulldogs four road games in 2024. Georgia will also travel to Austin, Tex. to take on the Texas Longhorns and to Tuscaloosa, Ala. to take on the Alabama Crimson Tide.

In addition to those games, we also know that UGA will have a neutral site clash with Clemson to start the 2024 season. That will be inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium for the 2024 Chick-Fil-A Kickoff. The Bulldogs will also have home games against UMass, Tennessee Tech, and Georgia Tech.

Tennessee Tech is set for week two while UMass will travel to Athens in Week 12. Georgia Tech holds its traditional spot as the Bulldogs’ final opponent of the regular season.

The SEC hasn’t yet indicated when Georgia will play each of its conference opponents and that will not be announced Wednesday evening. The league will only be releasing the opponents for each team.

Georgia vs. Ole Miss history…

The Bulldogs have dominated the all-time series between these two teams. Georgia has a record of 32-12-1 but the last time these two met it was all Rebels. That was in Kirby Smart‘s first season as Georgia’s head coach and the Rebels, led by current Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze, drubbed UGA by a score of 45-14.

Ole Miss took a 31-0 lead into halftime and it was 45-7 going into the fourth quarter. That loss was Smart’s first as a head coach and one of five in his first season.

Prior to that game, Georgia had won 10 straight against the Rebels. That streak started 1997 and lasted until 2011.

These two teams will play in 2023. Ole Miss is set to visit Athens on November 11. It’ll mark what, on paper, appears to be the Bulldogs toughest stretch of the season with Ole Miss at home and Tennessee on the road before closing the regular season vs. Georgia Tech.
