It’s no secret that Georgia is beginning to take over the National Football League with Bulldogs on nearly every single team playing an important role for each respective franchise. This past week, the Bulldogs saw some familiar faces dominate the field, as well as some first-time inclusions on “Dawgs in the NFL”

Nick Chubb

It’s looking increasingly unlikely that there will ever be a week this NFL season where Nick Chubb does not have a play that blows the mind of fans all over the league – that is except for his bye week last week. From speed to strength to elusiveness, Chubb showed off all of his skillset on this 33-yard touchdown run.

AJ Green

With Colt McCoy starting at quarterback over the injured Kyler Murray, veteran receiver AJ Green came up big for the Arizona Cardinals, scoring this 6-yard touchdown in the second quarter. Although Green only finished the day with two receptions, his back-corner touchdown played a big role in the Cardinals’ 27-17 win over the Los Angeles Rams.

George Pickens

Just like Georgia does with Brock Bowers, the Pittsburgh Steelers continue to find ways to get George Pickens the ball. Throw it to him, hand it off to him, it doesn’t matter. This time, the Steelers decided to hand it off to him on the goal line resulting in the touchdown. Pickens also had three receptions for 32 yards in the win as the Steelers would go on to win the game 20- 10 over the New Orleans Saints.

Lawrence Cager

Yesterday against the Houston Texans, former Georgia Bulldog and Miami Hurricane Lawrence Cager racked up his first catch of the season for the New York Giants, taking it in for his first career NFL touchdown. Heading into the game, Cager, who currently plays tight end, only had two career receptions for 35 yards, both coming in his rookie season in 2020. With the Giants’ depth at tight end dwindling, Cager could be looking to take on a more prominent role in their offense.
