Georgia Football: Dawgs in the NFL (Week 13)
At this point, Georgia and their former players in the NFL have begun to dominate the weekend, both on Saturdays and Sundays. This past weekend was a perfect example of that, as the Bulldogs in the league put the entire country on notice with impressive production coming from their rookies and seasoned veterans.
James Cook
Each week, rookie running back James Cook has gotten more and more touches in the Buffalo Bills offense, with this past Thursday being the former Dawg’s coming-out party. On his 20 total touches, which was the most of any skill position player for Buffalo, Cook amassed 105 yards and touchdown, playing a key role in the Bills’ 24-10 win over the New England Patriots
Nakobe Dean
While his snaps this season have been extremely limited, rookie linebacker Nakobe Dean popped off the screen during the latter portion of the Philadelphia Eagles’ 35-10 win over the Tennessee Titans. Even though Dean did not make an appearance until the second half, he finished the game with a team-high 6 total tackles including 5 solo stops and this tackle for loss.
Azeez Ojulari
In his first game back from injury, New York Giants edge rusher Azeez Ojulari made his presence felt on this strip sack against Commanders’ quarterback Taylor Heinicke. With top ten pick Kayvon Thibideoux lined up alongside Ojulari, it’s safe to say that the Giants’ pass rush will be tormenting the NFC for years to come.

D’Andre Swift
There may not be anything on this planet more beautiful than a D’Andre Swift spin move. Travon Walker, Tyson Campbell and the Jacksonville Jaguars found that out the hard way on this red zone touchdown from the former Georgia running back.
Roquan Smith
After getting traded by the Chicago Bears earlier this season, former Bulldog linebacker Roquan Smith made his first home start for the Baltimore Ravens as they faced off against Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos. On the day, Smith put up an impressive 11 total tackles, six solo tackles, and two tackles for loss.
Quay Walker
In a season defined by its ups and downs, much like the team he plays for, Quay Walker has started to get into a rhythm for the Green Bay Packers, putting up seven total tackles and three solo tackles against Justin Fields and the Chicago Bears. Walker’s consistent production has added up this season, proving to be one of the best linebackers taken in last year’s draft.
