KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee bloodied Georgia’s nose on its first play from scrimmage but the Bulldogs dominated from there, rumbling to a 38-10 win inside Neyland Stadium. UGA has now won 28 straight games.

Carson Beck connected on 24 of 30 passes for 298 yards and three scores. Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint caught seven balls for 91 yards and two scores while Dillon Bell had a career day, hauling in five passes for 90 yards and a score while throwing for another. Kendall Milton led Georgia rushers with 14 carries for 66 yards and a touchdown.

Tennessee got off to an ideal start. The Volunteers took over at their own 25-yard line after the opening kickoff and they scored on the first play. Jaylen Wright found a hole off guard and out ran the Georgia defense for the touchdown, sending the home crowd into a frenzy. The PAT put Tennessee up 7-0 but that was the last that went Tennessee’s way for awhile.

Georgia answered with three points on the next possession as Peyton Woodring connected from 42 yards out and it grabbed its first lead of the game on the next possession when Bell took a toss sweep and tossed an 18-yard touchdown to Rosemy-Jacksaint. Woodring’s PAT staked the Bulldogs to a lead they would not relinquish.

The two teams traded punts before a Tennessee drive stalled shy of midfield. It punted Georgia to its own 20-yard line and the offense went back to work. Georgia needed just nine plays to march 80 yards with Beck throwing the touchdown this time. He hit Bell for a nine-yard score and Woodring’s PAT put the Bulldogs up by two scores at 17-7.

The Bulldogs followed that with another stop and the offense responded with another touchdown. Georgia went 71 yards on eight plays, a march that ended with Beck finding Brock Bowers for a three-yard score. The PAT put the Bulldogs up by three scores at 24-7.

The bleeding was stopped on Tennessee’s final possession of the first half. The Volunteers got it to the UGA 19-yard line and Charles Campbell came on to hit a 37-yard field goal to end the first half with Georgia leading 24-10.

Punts were traded to begin the second half before Georgia put together a pair of touchdown drives in the third quarter. Beck found Rosemy-Jacksaint for an eight-yard score to push the Bulldog lead to 31-10. Then Georgia got another stop and went back to work with Milton finding the end zone for the sixth straight game on a 15-yard run. The PAT pushed Georgia’s lead to 38-10.

After Tennessee missed a 56-yard field goal, Georgia committed its first turnover of the game. Junior center Sedrick Van Pran had a ball slip out his hand on the snap and Tennessee recovered at the Bulldog 34-yard line. Tennessee advanced it to the five-yard line but came up empty on a fourth-down attempt.

The Bulldogs took over at their own five-yard line and salted away most of the game from there. They took the clock down to 1:06 left in the game and the Volunteers ran it three times to end it.

Next up for Georgia is the regular-season finale vs. Georgia Tech in Atlanta, a place where the Bulldogs haven’t lost since 1999. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. on ABC.
