Georgia freshman report: 13 first-year Bulldogs play vs. Auburn
Georgia took down Auburn for the sixth straight time on Saturday. It wasn’t much of a game as the Bulldogs led 14-0 at halftime and pulled even further away from the Tigers in the final two periods.
Some Georgia true freshmen helped build that lead. Other true freshmen helped hold on to it. Below, DawgsHQ breaks down which first-year Bulldogs played and how they faired.
RB Branson Robinson (19 snaps): It was a breakout game for the talented tailback. He carried the football a career-high 12 times for a team-leading 98 yards and his first career touchdown. Robinson didn’t just do his work in mop-up duty either. He had two carries for 32 yards in the first half.
WR Dillon Bell (29 snaps): The Texas native continues to play a high number of snaps for the Bulldogs. He caught both of the balls thrown his way for 21 yards in the win over Auburn.
WR Cole Speer (15 snaps): It was surprising to see this number of snaps from Speer. He didn’t make his way onto the stat sheet but he saw the most offensive action of his career.
WR CJ Smith (2 snaps): The speedy wideout did not register on the stat sheet but played some on offense.
WR De’Nylon Morrissette (1 snap): We saw Morrissette out there and it seemed like more than one snap. He did not have any stats.
TE Oscar Delp (21 snaps): The former four-star prospect saw most of his action late in the game but he made an impact. He had three catches for 29 yards and helped Georgia extend its final touchdown drive with a catch that moved the chains.
DE Mykel Williams (24 snaps): Williams didn’t make his way into the box score but he impacted the game. We noticed some stellar play on the edge and Auburn got away with at least two holds on the talented freshman.

DL Bear Alexander (24 snaps): His stat line is modest with no tackles and one pass breakup but Alexander is playing some really valuable snaps for the Bulldogs at this point in the season.
OLB Marvin Jones Jr. (4 snaps): The former five-star prospect saw a lot of special teams action and the four snaps on defense. He did not appear on the stat sheet.
ILB E.J. Lightsey (3 snaps): The Fitzgerald High School product got onto the field but did not register on the stat sheet.
ILB Jalon Walker (2 snaps): Walker played a lot on special teams and a little on defense. He did not appear on the stat sheet.
S Malaki Starks (61 snaps): Starks started his fifth straight game as Bulldog and tied Kelee Ringo for the defensive team lead in snaps played. He also had two solo tackles and a pass breakup.
CB Daylen Everette (10 snaps): Everette got into the game late and we could have sworn that we saw him get in on a tackle. We know he was one of the three players who missed Jarquez Hunter on Auburn’s lone touchdown of the day.
