ATHENS, Ga. — Outside of a short first-quarter lull, Georgia’s offense had an explosive showing in its 49-21 win over UAB. That’s what the Bulldogs were supposed to do considering how the Blazers had been giving up points in bunches. UGA is now 4-0 on the season and winners of 21 straight dating back to the 2021 College Football Playoff. With that in mind, DawgsHQ is acknowledging the standouts by handing out game balls.

TE Brock Bowers: It was a big night for Bowers, who went for over 100 receiving yards for the eighth time in his legendary UGA career. Bowers caught nine passes for 120 yards and recorded yet another multi-score game. Bowers always gets the crowd into the game with his ability to run after the catch and tonight was no different.

QB Carson Beck: The Georgia signal caller had a few negative plays late in the first quarter. There were some plays he would love to have back. With that said, there was a lot more good than bad. He completed 22 of 32 passes for a career high 336 yards and four total scores, which is also the best of his career. It could have been more if not for three drops.

DL Warren Brinson: The Bulldogs were down a defensive lineman on Saturday but Brinson stepped up. He had the only sack in the game and has multiple other plays where he got quick penetration and disrupted the pocket.

WR Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint: The junior wideout had the best game of his UGA career. He caught three passes for 94 yards and that includes a 50-yard pickup in the third quarter. Rosemy-Jacksaint was johnny on the spot multiple times when the Bulldogs needed him.

ILB Xavian Sorey: While Sorey didn’t post any sacks, tackles for loss, or pass breakups, it was clear at times that he moves at a different speed. He finished with six total tackles and a few of those were plays where he closed quickly on the ball carrier in space. He did some really good things for the Georgia defense.

RB Daijun Edwards: Georgia didn’t lean on Edwards as much as last week but it probably could have. Edwards is really good at finding the crease in the defense and he’s tough to tackle once he wiggles into space. The Moultrie native carried the ball 12 times for 66 yards and reached the end zone twice.
