Georgia is bound for the West Coast after beating Ohio State 42-41 in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl. The Bulldogs will take on TCU in the National Championship game on January 9 in Los Angeles. We’ll get to that soon enough but let’s keep looking at the win over the Buckeyes. Below, DawgsHQ singles out the best of the best by handing out game balls.

WR Arian Smith: The oft-injured speedster picked a perfect time to break out. With Georgia trailing 21-7 in the second quarter, Smith caught a 47-yard pass to set up a touchdown. With the Bulldogs trailing by 11 points in the fourth quarter, he ran a great route and got free for a 76-yard touchdown. Georgia fans have been waiting on this kind of a showing from one of the fastest players in College Football. He hauled in three passes for 129 yards and the touchdown.

RB Kenny McIntosh: It was another game of 100 total yards or more for the Georgia tailback. McIntosh had just five carries for 70 yards and he hauled in five passes for 56 yards and a score. He was a turf-monster away from a rushing touchdown and more rushing yards. McIntosh was also really good in blitz pickup.

DB Javon Bullard: The Georgia STAR/nickel defender was flagged for a defensive pass interference in the first half and struggled at times in coverage, but he also made plays. Bullard had three total tackles (all solo), a sack, a tackle for loss, and a pass breakup. He had a chance to pick up another sack but CJ Stroud was being particularly tough to deal with on Saturday.

QB Stetson Bennett: The former walk-on had stretches where he looked lost. He also had stretches of brilliance. Bennett put the offense on his back in the fourth quarter, throwing for 187 yards and two touchdowns in the final frame. That set a College Football Playoff record for passing yards in the fourth quarter. The Georgia signal caller finished with a career-high 398 yards and three touchdowns, adding another touchdown on the ground.

DE Mykel Williams: The freshman defender played his heart out. He beat stud left tackle Paris Johnson for a sack in the first half. He came back and had a half tackle for loss later in the game. Williams got pressure on the quarterback a few time and seemed the most under-control of the Bulldogs rushers.

WR AD Mitchell: The sophomore pass catcher had an impactful first quarter before going dormant for about 50 minutes of game clock. He then came back with a crisp route in the fourth quarter with Bennett finding him for the game-winning 10-yard touchdown. Mitchell has a knack for coming up big in the biggest moments. He did it again on Saturday.
