Game time, television announced for Georgia vs. Tennessee Tech
We now know the kickoff times and television assignments for half of the Georgia’s regular season in 2024. The SEC announced on Thursday that UGA’s home matchup, first of the season at Sanford Stadium, with Tennessee Tech on September 7 will start at 2:00 p.m. ET and will be televised streaming only on ESPN+ and SEC Network+.
That information is now available the first three Georgia games in 2024. The Bulldogs will start the season with Clemson in the Chick-Fil-A Kickoff. That game is set for 12 p.m. ET and will be televised by ABC. It’s a neutral-site clash inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium and it’ll be the second time in four years that the Bulldogs and Tigers, separated by 72 miles, begin the season against one another at a neutral site. They started the 2021 season in Charlotte, N.C. at Bank of America Stadium in the Duke’s Mayo Classic.
UGA’s first true road game of the season will come in week three at Kentucky. That game is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC and the Bulldogs will see a couple of familiar faces on the other sideline. Former five-star quarterback Brock Vandagriff, after three years at Georgia, is now at Kentucky. He’s projected to start for the Wildcats. Kentucky also landed Jamon Dumas-Johnson, a two-year starter for the Bulldogs at inside linebacker, via the transfer portal this offseason.
The Bulldogs second trip to Tuscaloosa in the last five years is also set. Georgia and Alabama will kick off at 7:30 p.m. on ABC. That game is scheduled for September 28 and it’ll be the first time Kirby Smart has led his team against the Crimson Tide without Nick Saban as the opposing head coach.

Georgia’s rivalry game against Florida remains in the 3:30 p.m. ET slot it has held in recent seasons but of course will be changing networks with the new SEC TV contract. ABC owns the rights to air the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.
As for UGA’s other big rival, DawgsHQ confirmed earlier on Thursday that for the first time since in almost 30 years Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate vs. Georgia Tech won’t take place on a Saturday. The Bulldogs and Yellow Jackets will lock horns on Black Friday in 2024, November 29. That game is set for a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff and will also be televised by ABC.
