Georgia will play its second SEC game of the 2022 season on October 1 at Missouri and we now know the game time and TV assignment. It’ll be a primetime matchup as the Bulldogs and Tigers will get started at 7:30 p.m. ET (6:30 p.m. local). It will be televised by The SEC Network.

Alabama at Arkansas will be the CBS SEC Game of the Week at 3:30 p.m. ET. Kentucky at Ole Miss will be a 12 p.m. ET kickoff on ESPN. LSU at Auburn will be on ESPN as well with kickoff set for 7 p.m. ET. Texas A&M at Mississippi State will kick off at 4 p.m. ET on The SEC Network.

Mizzou joined the SEC in 2012 and played its first game against Georgia Faurot Field inside Memorial Stadium. Georgia won that one by a score of 41-20. It has gone on to win each of it’s games in Columbia since the Tigers joined the lead.

The 2014 contest resulted in a 34-0 Bulldog beatdown of the Tigers. The closest contest was in 2016 when Georgia needed a late touchdown from Jacob Eason to Isaiah McKenzie to earn a 28-27 victory. That was Kirby Smart’s third game as UGA’s head coach and the defense played a big role, forcing a fumble on Mizzou’s final possession to seal the deal.

Georgia went to Columbia in 2018 and grabbed a 43-29 win on the strength of two non-offensive touchdowns — one on defense and one on a blocked punt. The Bulldogs dominated the Tigers in 2020 by a score of 49-14.

Missouri’s lone win against Georgia since joining the SEC came in 2013 at Samford Stadium. The Bulldogs have amassed a 9-1 record against Mizzou in that time. Last year’s contest took place in Athens where Georgia won 43-6 in November behind a pair of touchdown tosses from Stetson Bennett IV.

The Bulldogs are three games into their National Championship defense with a 3-0 record. They are 1-0 in the SEC and have outscored their opponents — Oregon, Samford, and South Carolina by a combined score of 130-10.
