Georgia football had a pretty good weekend, and we’re still more than a month away from the Dawgs going on a little Duck hunt in Atlanta. Don’t believe me?

Ask one of the frustrated Michigan fans in this tweet’s replies:

This isn’t an anti-Michigan piece. I just wanted to cite my sources. And 2023 4-star LB Raylen Wilson had Wolverines fans feeling pretty Blue.

In all this conference realignment talk, I’ve done some research into which college football programs consistently rank among the most profitable.

Michigan is, believe it or not, a few spots ahead of Georgia (the Dawgs are consistently around #6 in the country).

Whether you agree with it or not, Michigan is a college football blue blood (no pun intended). I don’t know that many fans would consider Georgia football to be of that ilk

But they can’t ignore the Dawgs’ candidacy much longer. Georgia just went toe-to-toe with Michigan in the Orange Bowl. And it went toe-to-toe with the Wolverines for their best defensive commitment.

Georgia won both times. The most recent victory came during an offseason in which it’s replacing its defensive coordinator.

That’s called building a brand. Just ask Raylen Wilson himself (we did):

Them’s the makin’s of a Damn Good Weekend for some Damn Good Dawgs.

My weekend took a slightly different turn. A toddler with a fever took precedent in our household just a few days after a relaxing July 4th weekend.

Humility is just a week away, as a wise National Championship-winning coach once said. But the past week’s been pretty good for the Dawgs.

Our little one’s shouts (fever or not) are starting to give Kirby Smart a run for his money. But a rocky weekend in the Classic City is better than a good weekend somewhere else.

You can attribute that quote to yours truly.
