Georgia, ranked No. 1 in the nation in both polls, is getting ready to take on its first ranked opponent of the 2023 season. Kentucky, ranked No. 20 in both polls after whipping Florida last week, will enter Sanford Stadium on Saturday (7 p.m. ET on ESPN). In an effort to get the Bulldog faithful fired up for the contest, UGA has released it’s game-week hype video entitled “Bloody Tuesday.”

The game trailer is named after Georgia’s toughest practiced of the week, which carries the same title. The 82-second feature is narrated by fifth-year defensive lineman Zion Logue and features soundbites from both Georgia coordinators, Glenn Schumann and Mike Bobo, as well as Kirby Smart and strength coach Scott Sinclair.

“Like I said, Tuesdays are different here,” Logue says in the video. “And you’ll find that out on Saturday.”

Smart’s eighth Georgia team is looking to extend a couple of win streaks to 23 games. The Bulldogs have won 22 straight overall and 22 straight at home. They last lost at home in 2019 to South Carolina. Their last loss overall was to Alabama in the 2021 SEC Championship game.

Home night games have been great to Georgia, favored by 14.5 points in this one, for over a decade. You’d have to go back to 2009 to find the Bulldogs last home loss after 4:30 p.m. The opponent that day was Kentucky and that was the Wildcats last win against UGA.

Mark Stoops has built a reputation for putting physical teams on the field. Other programs say it and Georgia points it out every year.

“Looking forward to playing a really physical Stoops team,” the Georgia head coach said on Monday. “Every time we play these guys, they’re physical. When Coach Richt was here, it was physical. Kentucky-Georgia is just a physical, physical football game. Because they brand their football behind that, and so do we. I have a lot of respect for Coach Stoops and the program he’s built and the job they’ve done.”

There are three undefeated teams in the SEC and two of them will play in this game. Georgia and Kentucky are 5-0 on the season. Missouri is the other and it will take on a ranked LSU team on Saturday.
