The SEC is mandating that, for league games, it’s member institutions must release official injury reports for the 2024 season. With Georgia set to play Kentucky on Saturday for its first SEC contest of the season, the Bulldogs have released their first official report.

It’s a shorter list than one might think and it includes injuries that we know about. Sophomore running back Roderick Robinson is out for Kentucky after having surgery to his toe. Junior EDGE Mykel Williams (ankle) is the only Georgia player doubtful. Then there are a trio of interior defensive linemen, Warren Brinson, Jordan Hall, and Xzavier McLeod, who are all listed as questionable.

Williams is the most impactful injury and will not play against the Wildcats. He suffered a sprained ankle in the fourth quarter of Georgia’s win over Clemson to start the season. Kirby Smart called it a “grade-two” sprain but also said that it wasn’t expected to be a long-term injury. He’s likely eying a return for the Alabama game to end the month.

Robinson, Hall, and McLeod have all been out since the preseason. Robinson is recovering from the turf toe surgery and is likely out until October while the Bulldogs hope to have Hall and McLeod back much sooner. Hall is recovering from stress fractures in each tibia with the second coming about a month ago. McLeod’s injury is undisclosed.

Who isn’t on Georgia’s list?

Maybe as important as who is on the list is who is not on it. Junior tight end Oscar Delp and freshman running back Nate Frazier are the most notable absences. Delp suffered a sprained ankle against Tennssee Tech last week. He left the game, went into the injury tent, and then reentered the game. He shut it down before the end of the first half.

Frazier went down with what appeared to be a shoulder injury in the fourth quarter of that game. Smart told reporters earlier this week that Frazier had been cleared by medical staff to return to the game but the Georgia elected to hold him out.

Georgia and Kentucky will lock horns at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET and it’ll be broadcast by the SEC Network.
