ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia returned from it’s bye week on Saturday and dominated Florida by a score of 43-20 in Jacksonville. The Bulldogs are now 8-0 on the year and they have won 25 straight as a program. Next up is Missouri and for the first time since October 7, UGA will be back inside Sanford Stadium.

The Tigers are 7-1 on the season and ranked No. 14 in the latest AP Poll. They’ll be coming off a bye when they make their way onto Dooley Field come Saturday with kickoff set for 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS. Georgia is the 16.5-point favorite according to the VegasInsider.com consensus. Other books have the spread as low as 15 points.

Before all of that goes down, Georgia will hold media day where it will put the Florida win to bed and preview Missouri. Kirby Smart will speak to reporters around noon and DawgsHQ has boots on the ground. We’ll be providing live updates for you in the space below. *** Smart praises Eliah Drinkwitz for the job he has done with this Missouri team. Calls the Tigers “well-coached” and says they could be undefeated right now. Also praises Brady Cook and the weapons he has. Calls Missouri’s defense maybe the toughest Georgia has faced under Smart’s watch.

*** Smart is asked about Dominic Lovett being fired up about this game and the head coach says Lovett is fired up for every game. Praises him for his character and how hard he works. Says he’s a great teammate and person.

*** “Luther (Burden) is a great player. Everybody in the country wanted Luther. It wasn’t just us,” Smart says. He says that Missouri has done a great job of getting the local talent to stay home and it helps them recruit that they create a great environment at home and a winning culture.

*** Smart says that the adversity faced last year at Missouri helped the Bulldogs go on to do what they did in 2022. Smart says that UGA did some things to help Mizzou that day and that the Tigers did the same for Georgia. Still, he credits Missouri for giving Georgia a lot of problems last year.

*** Georgia will face Cook for the third time on Saturday and Smart points out how athletic and quick he is at getting the ball out. Says Cook gets it out in under 2.5 seconds on average and he makes it really difficult.

*** On Jalon Walker, Smart says that we’re starting to see some things on the field that Georgia sees in practice. He talks about how quick, explosive, and effective he is as a pass rusher. Goes on to say that Walker is also one of the best young men you’ll find.

*** Smart says that Darris Smith is focusing on academics and conditioning right now but he’s not necessarily back with the team just yet. He also says that CJ Allen is “fine.” Says Allen experienced a little tweak of his hamstring against Florida.

*** Missouri has more than three weapons according to the Georgia head coach. He mentions three receivers, the quarterback, the running back, and a big, physical tight end. He also says that Missouri has some specific run plays that Georgia doesn’t face very often.
