Live Updates: No. 1 Georgia 26 -- Missouri 22 - FINAL
COLUMBIA, Mo. — It’s Saturday in the Show Me State where No. 1 Georgia is set to take on Missouri at Faurot Field. The Bulldogs take aim at their fifth win in as many tries this season. The Tigers are looking for their first victory over a Power Five opponent in 2022.
Georgia has seriously controlled the series between these two programs. The Bulldogs are 9-1 against against the Tigers since they joined the SEC in 2012. UGA has also won all of the games played in Columbia.
Road games have been good to Georgia this season. It has played two games away from Sanford Stadium this year and won those games by a combined score of 97-10. The Bulldogs are favored by 30 points ahead of game time with the line opening at 28 points earlier this week.
Kirby Smart, however, isn’t taking the Tigers lightly. He expects a fight from Eliah Drinkwitz’s team.
“Yeah, they’re really physical,” Smart said. “They’re big up front. You know, they did a good job stopping the run last year versus us. Their size up front, athleticism up front, really aggressive. You know, they played Auburn really aggressive in terms of the box count they were in, some of the run stunts they run are similar to the ones we run. They’re getting after it. They’re challenging you to do something outside of that. I mean, they don’t have to have that many and they can still stop the run cause they’re physical up front. I mean, you just watch our game last year, a lot of the same people are playing on both sides. I feel like Missouri has been just massive. One of the most physical fronts that we play.”
Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on the SEC Network. Below, DawgsHQ provides links for you to stream the game live, listen in, and keep up with the live stats.
