Live Updates from the Georgia spring game
Georgia football fans are about to get their spring fix. It’s G-Day in the Classic City where the Red team will take on the Black team in an intra-squad scrimmage. UGA isn’t following the lead of several other College Football programs that decided not to have spring games this season.
The Bulldogs are going to get after it for a couple of hours inside Sanford Stadium. There’s no television this year, so Kirby Smart and company can work at their own pace with no commercial breaks. As far as we know, it will be traditional game-like format. If it’s anything like we’ve seen in the past, Georgia will be leaning heavily on the pass.
It’s an opportunity for us all to get a look at roughly 30 newcomers to the team. Georgia welcomed in 23 early enrollees in January. They also brought in seven players via the transfer portal and even more from the walk-on ranks.
Normally the rosters are released a couple of days ahead of time but not this year. Instead we had to wait until game day before Georgia offered those up. DawgsHQ has published those rosters already.
As we stated earlier, there is not television for the game but you can listen in live. The Georgia Bulldogs radio network will be keeping fans abreast of what is going on. DawgsHQ, as always, is also providing a way to keep up with the game. We’ll be posting LIVE updates during the game in the space below.
