Georgia football players received their National Championship rings after the first quarter of G Day on Saturday.
Players including Nakobe Dean, Jordan Davis and the Dawgs’ other future NFL Draft picks showed their hardware on the massive video board at Sanford Stadium.
Georgia PA announcer Brook Whitmire boomed a recap of Georgia’s final score over Alabama in the National Championship (33-18, in case you were sleeping).
The mostly full crowd at Sanford Stadium boomed back.
Check out a glimpse at the hardware here, and watch Jordan Davis hold his ring up to the camera:
Jostens, the same jeweler who designed the massive Braves’ World Series rings, designed Georgia’s hardware
I wrote earlier in the week about how Georgia’s rings could follow a similar, impressive design like the Braves.
Georgia, obviously, has a lot more players and personnel to pass rings out to. And the Braves have some major MLB money to splurge a bit more.

So it appears as if these rings were a little simpler.
That isn’t always a bad thing.
And as Vince Dooley once told me, there’s “nothing like being a champion.” No matter how many LED lights your ring has.
Now, Georgia football players have some well-earned hardware of their own.
