Georgia football players who beat their NFL Combine position groups
The Dawgs owned the NFL Combine, so we’re taking a deeper look at the Georgia football players who topped their position groups’ results.
Unsurprisingly, there were quite a few.
One even topped the entire combine.
DEFENSIVE BACK BROAD JUMP – LEWIS CINE ROCKS THE NFL COMBINE
Not only did Lewis Cine top all defensive backs in the broad jump (11’1″), he ran a 4.37 40-yard dash, and hit 36.5″ on the vertical jump.
Each of those results were good for 5th, and tied for 5th among safeties, respectively.
RUNNING BACK BROAD JUMP – ZAMIR WHITE SHOWS THE POWER OF ZEUS
Zamir White needed an impressive NFL Combine to erase any doubt that two ACL repairs still hamper his game, and prove that he can be a versatile NFL back.
Zeus proved the versatile part with his drills, and showed his power on the broad jump.
His 10’8″ tied for first with Ole Miss’s Jerrion Ealy among all running backs at the NFL Combine.
White and James Cook also ran the seventh- and eighth-fastest 40-yard dash times among running backs, respectively.
DEFENSIVE TACKLE 40-YARD DASH – DEVONTE WYATT TOPS JORDAN DAVIS
Devonte Wyatt’s 4.77 40-yard dash time juuuuust beat out Jordan Davis at 4.78 for the fastest time at the position group.
Leave it to Georgia football players to compete to the max in Indianapolis.
DEFENSIVE TACKLE BROAD JUMP – JORDAN DAVIS SHOWS THE NFL COMBINE HOW TO FLY
Jordan Davis made a lot of noise with his individual NFL Combine performance.
That 40-yard dash. His 32″ vertical was second-best, as well.
But Davis shook the earth with his 10’3″ broad jump, which was tops for his position group, and a full 11 inches better than the next guy (Tennessee’s Matthew Butler).
It was the greatest NFL Combine performance from a big fella, ever.
Devonte Wyatt finished third with a 9’3″ effort.
LINEBACKER / OVERALL VERTICAL – CHANNING TINDALL LEAPS UP THE DRAFT BOARDS
Channing Tindall landed among our list of ‘players who will rise the most after the NFL Combine.’
We didn’t know he would be on the list of ‘players who rise the most at the NFL Combine.’
Tindall’s 42″ vertical jump tied UTSA cornerback Tariq Woolen for the highest vertical jump at the combine.

He joins Chris Conley on the list of Georgia football players to set the high vertical benchmark at his NFL Combine.
Conley still has the tie for best vertical jump ever, with 45″.
PUNTER 40-YARD DASH – JAKE CAMARDA SHOWS GREAT FEET AT THE NFL COMBINE
I don’t know how much a 40-yard dash helps a punter, but hey.
Jake Camarda is the fastest one on the board with a 4.56.
Bulk him up and he’s suddenly the most dangerous punter / punt coverage team member in the draft.
