A highly-productive wide receiver announced his top six schools on Thursday and Georgia is included. Rico Scott (Bishop McDevitt; Harrisburg, Pa.) has Georgia, Alabama, Colorado, Penn State, Tennessee, and Texas A&M ahead of every other school at this point.

“I have a good relationship with Coach Fran (Brown),” Scott told On3’s Hayes Fawcett. “I love everything about Georgia.”

Brown is Georgia’s defensive backs coach along with Will Muschamp. Brown focuses on the cornerback position but he is also quite active as an area recruiter in the Northeast. Brown is from Camden, New Jersey and coached at Rutgers earlier in his career. He is in his second season at UGA.

According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that that uses rankings from all four recruiting media outlets, Scott is the nation’s No. 488 overall prospect and No. 80 wide receiver. He’s the No. 13 prospect in Pennsylvania.

As a junior, Scott caught 66 passes for 1,184 yards and 22 touchdowns. He helped his school win its first state championship since 1995.

Penn State is the leader for Scott according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). The Nittany Lions old almost 60 percent of the feature. Texas A&M is next with 22.7 percent with Alabama at almost seven percent.

If you follow the visits, you see why Penn State is favored. He has taken seven unofficial visits to State College. Texas A&M has gotten him on campus three times with Alabama, Texas, Baylor, Ohio State, and Kentucky all getting him on campus one time each.

What Scott thinks of the other five schools on his list…

Alabama: “I was always a fan of how dominant they were year in and year out,” Scott said. “I’ve developed a great relationship with Coach Wiggins and Coach (Nick) Saban.”

Colorado: “I like the way Coach (Deion) Sanders teaches his players about life skills, not just football,” Scott said. “I have a good relationship with the office of coordinator, and I think he could use me in different ways within that offense.”

Penn State: “The coaches make it feel like home every time I visit,” Scott said. “I have a great relationship with Coach Franklin and it means something to me to be able to represent where you are from. I love the things coach Haggans preaches.”

Texas A&M: “I’ve had a great relationship with Coach (Jimbo) Fisher since day one and Coach Robinson,” Scott said. “I watch practice, and like the things I see.”

Tennessee: “I formed a great relationship with Coach (Kelsey) Pope, and I loved the things I saw from their program this past season,” Scott said. “I can see myself in that offense.”
