We’re well into October but this will be the Bulldogs first home SEC game of the season. They’re currently 5-0 on the year and ranked No. 2 in the nation.
The Tigers are trying to get back on track after losing two of their last three. They have dropped games to Penn State and LSU. It would be three consecutive losses if not for a Missouri fumble just prior to crossing the goal line a couple of weeks ago.
Any rivalry as old as this one has plenty of history. We’ve seen last-minute victories, legendary performances, and four-quarter, instant-classic slugfests.

“I will open with the tradition and history of this game is pretty incredible,” Georgia head coach Kirby Smart said to begin his first press conference of the week. “I think when you talk about one of the oldest rivalries in college football, it’s always been a game that I know, as a player, I looked forward to playing in. It’s been some tremendous games between the two teams, and our guys are looking forward to getting to play at home in front of a raucous crowd, great atmosphere. I’m expecting our fans to turn out and give us an electric atmosphere to play in against a good Auburn football team.”
