WATCH: Georgia releases 'The Hunt' trailer for South Carolina
Georgia will take the next step in defending its back-to-back National Championships on Saturday. The Bulldogs are under 24 hours away from kickoff with South Carolina in the SEC opener. With that in mind, the video team released the latest game trailer on Friday. It carries the title “The Hunt.”
The 39-second video features Kirby Smart and other Georgia staffers and guest speakers discussing how the Bulldogs want to be the hunter and not the hunted, echoing what the eighth-year head coach said at 2022 SEC Media Days. The Bulldogs are 27.5-point favorites according to Draft Kings and other odds makers.

”We’re turning the page to an SEC opponent at our stadium, 3:30 CBS game,” Smart said earlier this week at Georgia vs. South Carolina media day. Seems like most of the years, Georgia opens with South Carolina. And this game hasn’t always been that since I’ve been here, but it’s always been early in the schedule, as it is this year. I have a lot of respect for Shane and his staff, the staff he’s assembled. They do a tremendous job with their players. They play really hard — got a lot of respect for those guys. I know they tend to have players from our state and we tend to have players from their state. As always, a really important game when it comes to playing a school that’s this close geographically to you. I know both teams will be up for the game. It should be a great atmosphere, and I hope our fans can give us a home-field advantage for this game.”
UGA is aiming for its 20th straight win dating back to the 2021 College Football Playoff. It is also gunning for its 21st straight win at home. The last loss inside Sanford Stadium came last decade and it was to the Gamecocks. Georgia fell 20-17 to South Carolina in 2019.
