LIVE UPDATES: No. 1 Georgia 43, Florida 20 - FINAL
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — It’s time for a cocktail party down in Duval County as top-ranked Georgia meets arch rival Florida today at EverBank Stadium. The Bulldogs have won two in a row in this series and 55 of 101 all time.
“We’ll start gearing up here towards Florida. Did a little bit of work last week in terms of introducing those guys on Thursday. Today we’ll get back to work on these guys,” Smart said about matchup on Monday. “I know our guys are excited to play in Jacksonville. An incredible stadium and atmosphere. Our players love playing in this neutral site game. It’s just kind of different in terms of the start of it, the fans, the split crowd. It seems to be a momentum flow type of game because the team that has momentum is really at home for that moment, but it goes back and forth. It’s a game of momentum swings.”
“Lot of respect for Billy,” he added. “Always have liked him a lot. He does a really good job as a football coach, as a man, as a person. Worked on a staff with him and admire him and the way he coaches and goes about things. He’s very detail oriented. No stone is left unturned, and they play that way. Have a lot of respect for the way they play. I know a lot of guys on their staff. It’ll be a physical game, always is, and our kids will be looking forward to it.”
Kickoff time for today’s game is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS.

Pregame
- Georgia wins the toss and defers. Bulldogs will begin on defense.
- Captains for UGA: Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint, Sedrick Van Pran, Javon Bullard and Jamon Dumas-Johnson
- Brock Bowers is present and jogged onto the field with the team. No sign of a boot.
- Take a look at the Georgia travel roster, one that features several players back in the fold. Among those is Amarius Mims, but based on what we saw in pregame warmups, we’d be surprised if he’s the starter at right tackle. Not only was Xavier Truss announced on the big screen as the starter but Mims also did not go through the majority of drills with the offensive line.
- Sedrick Van Pran wearing the No. 77 jersey today.
- Despite speculation surrounding Darris Smith’s Instagram story posted last night, he is not with the outside linebackers as they go through their drills with Chidera Uzo-Diribe. Just five: Chaz Chambliss, Marvin Jones Jr., Damon Wilson, CJ Madden and Sam M’Pemba. Of course, these are all just headcounts based on who we’ve seen so far, so nothing is official.
- Georgia players have gone through their first round of warmups. As expected, only three tight ends participating: Oscar Delp, Lawson Luckie and Pearce Spurlin.
