A fourth Georgia basketball player from last year’s team is exploring his options beyond Athens, as freshman and former three-star point guard Savo Drezgic has opted to enter the transfer portal on Tuesday per On3’s Jamie Shaw.

A reclassified prospect from DME Academy in Daytona, Florida by-way-of Belgrade, Serbia, Drezgic played in eight games for Mike White’s Bulldogs, averaging 2.9 points and 1.1 rebounds in 6.8 minutes per contest. His season high of nine minutes came against then No. 8 Texas A&M, where he contributed one free throw made and one defensive rebound.

Prior to DME Academy, Drezgic spent time in a number of European leagues, including being a part of Partizan Mozzart Bet of the Serbian KLS, the Adriatic League and the EuroLeague. Drezgic made his professional debut in February 2023 at just the age of 16. Prior to playing professionally, he represented Serbia in the 2022 FIBA U16 European Championship where he averaged 13.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game.

Drezgic ranked as the nation’s No. 127 overall prospect in the Class of 2024, as well as the No. 19 point guard and No. 17 prospect in the state of Florida, per the On3 Industry Rankings.

He joins senior forward RJ Godfrey and junior guards Silas Demary and De’Shayne Montgomery as transfer defections for the Bulldogs since the 2024-2025 season ended.

When looking at the regular season, Drezgic and company played the most top-10 teams in the country. They also led the country in top-10 opponents on the road. Georgia made the NCAA tournament for the first time in 10 years but it did not fare well in post-season play. After winning those 20 regular-season games, Georgia lost its first game in the SEC tournament to Oklahoma. It was then blown out by No. 9-seed Gonzaga in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, a game that was played in Wichita, Kan.

Though they’ve lost several players to this point, the Bulldogs have reaped a bit from the portal, addin the commitment of Cal transfer guard Jeremiah Wilkinson, the ACC Sixth Man of the Year in his freshman season with the Golden Bears.
