Georgia Freshman Report: Which first year players saw the field vs. UAB

ATHENS, Ga. — After last week the freshmen didn’t get much action at all with only seven seeing the field against South Carolina this week brought a return to what the first two had been. With Georgia taking on UAB and the Bulldogs leading the Blazers big late, 16 first-year players were able to get in the game. DawgsHQ takes a look at what each did in the action they received.

# 4 DB AJ Harris – Per the official stats, Harris was not credited with any however he helped in forcing UAB’s Amare Thomas out of bounds for a second down stop in the third quarter.

# 5 LB Raylen Wilson – Wilson was credited with a trio of tackles including one on kickoff coverage in the second quarter. His later two came during fourth quarter action at inside linebacker.

# 8 DB Joenel Aguero – Aguero got into the game at STAR early in the second half and finished with four tackles including one for loss. He also had a pass breakup.

# 10 WR Tyler Williams – Williams recorded his first career catch in the fourth quarter, picking up four yards from Gunner Stockton. He was also targeted earlier in the game by Brock Vandagriff.

# 13 WR Zeed Haynes – Haynes did not record a stat during his fourth quarter action at receiver.

# 15 DB Daniel Harris – Harris did not record any stats per the official stat sheet. He played cornerback opposite of Nyland Green late in the game.

# 17 WR Anthony Evans – Evans picked up a first down on 3rd and 2 with a 15 yard completion from Gunner Stockton. It’s the third game he’s recorded a stat in this season with a catch against UT-Martin and a rush (and a punt return) versus Ball State.

# 26 LB Sam M’Pemba – M’Pemba record a take in the fourth quarter. It’s his fourth of the season after having one in the opener and two against Ball State.

# 29 DL Gabe Harris – Harris was in the game with the first team defense at times given the fact Georgia was down Mykel Williams and Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins at defensive end. He did not record any stats.

# 31 DB Kyron Jones – Jones did not record any stats in appearance on special teams.

# 33 LB CJ Allen – Allen, as has been the case throughout the season, got reps with the first team defense at inside linebacker. He was credited with three tackles, all solo with one in the first, third and fourth quarters each.

# 35 LB Damon Wilson – Wilson did not record any stats in his action coming off the edge.

# 44 DL Jordan Hall – Hall had a solo stop in fourth quarter action, stopping the UAB rusher for no gain.

# 55 DL Jamaal Jarrett -Jarrett did not record any stats in his fourth quarter action.

# 57 OL Monroe Freeling – Freeling played left tackle with the backup offensive line in the fourth quarter.

# 91 K Peyton Woodring – After a rough outing last week, Woodring did not have much of a chance to redeem himself. Georgia did not attempt any field goals. He did however make all of his PATs.
