Mock Draft Projections
According to some of the latest mock draft projections, as many as eight Georgia players could hear their name off the board in the first round. Nakobe Dean, Jordan Davis, Travon Walker, Devonte Wyatt, Lewis Cine, Quay Walker, George Pickens and Derion Kendrick have all been projected as first round picks by at least one mock draft within the last week according to the NFL Mock Draft Database. And while that number likely isn’t realistic, the Bulldogs easily could set a program-record for most players picked, topping last year’s nine. LSU (2020) and Ohio State (2004) are tied for the all-time record of 14 players being selected.
Senior Bowl Showings
Last weekend, six players represented Georgia in Mobile at the Reese’s Senior Bowl, however, not all of them were able to play in the game. Devonte Wyatt was one of the top players during practice but injured his ankle the Wednesday before the game and was forced to sit out. As for those that did take the field, Jake Camarda punted six times for an impressive 306 yards, an average of 51 yards per punt, including a long of 58 while Channing Tindall made tackles on special teams that drew comparisons to NFL great Patrick Willis. Jamaree Salyer, Justin Shaffer and Derion Kendrick also participated in the Senior Bowl.

Now it’s time for those that played, and those that didn’t, to rest up and get themselves ready for the Combine, taking place March 1-7 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, the same place where Georgia just won its first National Championship in over four decades. Then, they’ll have another opportunity to showcase their skills in front of scouts at Georgia’s Pro Day, likely taking place on March 16th.
