Georgia has added legacy DL London Seymour to 2025 class

Georgia will be adding the son of a program legend this summer. DawgsHQ has confirmed that North Gwinnett defensive lineman London Seymour will be joining the Bulldog program in the coming months. He’s the son of Pro Football Hall of Fame defensive lineman Richard Seymour, who played at Georgia from 1997 to 2000.
London Seymour had offers from Marshall, Charlotte, and Coastal Carolina. He was slated to attend Boston College this fall on scholarship. Georgia was able to get the North Gwinnett High School product to reverse course and play his college ball closer to home.
At 6-foot-4 300 pounds, Seymour was an unrated prospect when the 2025 cycle concluded. He had a monster senior season according to MaxPreps, tallying 58 total tackles, 26.5 tackles for loss and six sacks as the Bulldogs went 13-1 and won the Region 7 AAAAAA championship. Seymour also had one fumble recovery and a pair of forced fumbles.
The strong connections to Georgia helped it land the talented lineman. The Bulldogs also impressed him whenever they had a chance to host.

“It was amazing,” Seymour told DawgsHQ after a past visit. “The atmosphere was great. The coaching staff was great and the facilities were awesome. It felt like a home down there.”
His father is arguably the best defensive lineman in Georgia history. The Gadsden, S.C. native was a first-team All American in 2000 and earned first-team All-SEC honors in 1999 and 2000. He piled up 221 total tackles in his Georgia career. New England picked Seymour with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2001 NFL Draft. He helped the Patriots win three Super Bowls while being named first-team All-Pro three times, second-team All-Pro twice, and make seven Pro Bowls in his career. He was also on the NFL’s All-Decade team for the 2000s.
