The USA TODAY/US LBM Coaches Poll is out for October 15th, and Georgia has stayed at No. 1. Receiving 58 votes for the top spot, the Bulldogs outpace Michigan and Ohio State, both of whom received at least one first-place vote and are ranked No. 2 and 3 respectively.

Oklahoma also received a first-place vote, the only team outside of Georgia, Michigan and Ohio State to do so. The Sooners come in ranked No. 7 though.

Around the rest of the top-25, Georgia has a trio of upcoming opponents ranked in the top 20. Ole Miss leads the way at No. 12 with Tennessee (No. 15) and Missouri (No. 20) just behind. Kentucky, who lost to Missouri on Saturday, fell out of the Coaches Poll.

KIRBY SMART ON GEORGIA-VANDERBILT

“Well, once again we come to Nashville and it feels like a home game. We had a lot of UGA red in the stands. I thought when we came out for warm-ups it was not as crowded, and then when we came out for the main part of the game there was a sea of red there as we came across the field and a lot of red on their side. So I was really appreciative of our friends making it like a home game, and I’m really proud of our players being resilient and fighting through some turnovers, some adversity, some sloppy play, some injuries. But at the end of the day, they responded and they got up to play on the road in the SEC, so I’m proud of them for that.”

Georgia is off this coming Saturday. After seven weeks straight of games including a trio of SEC contests, the Bulldogs are on a bye. They’ll be back in action October 28th in Jacksonville for the annual rivalry game against Florida.
