1. Lee County
Previous Rank: No. 1
Only this week’s game against No. 8 Houston County stands between the Trojans and an undefeated regular season. It’s a big-time game as both programs have serious talent on the field. Georgia running back commit Ousmane Kromah leads the way for his team on offense while Florida defensive line commit Jeramiah McCloud is holding it down on defense. No. 5 Thomas County Central gave them a bit of a tighter game last month, but since then, they’ve outscored their last three opponents by a combined score of 170-31.
2. Carrollton
Previous Rank: No. 2
Carrollton had no problem with East Coweta over the weekend, rolling to a 63-10 victory on the road. Quarterback Julian Lewis continues to do it all. While balancing recruiting visits with balling out on Friday nights, he’s got the Trojans rolling heading into the playoffs. They do have one more major test before the state playoffs, traveling to face No. 9 Douglas County on Friday night.
3. Milton
Previous Rank: No. 3
Miami commit Luke Nickel is having fun quarterbacking Milton these days. His top pass catcher, CJ Wiley, might’ve just decommitted from Florida State, but all eyes are on the playoffs for the duo. The Eagles enter the final week of the regular season unblemished after demolishing Johns Creek 56-0 over the weekend. Roswell — the state’s No. 14 team — will be looking to spoil Milton’s chase for an undefeated year.
4. Buford
Previous Rank: No. 4
Buford has been dominant in recent weeks, which you would expect with Power Four commits littering the field every time the team takes the field. In the trenches, 2025 Clemson offensive line commit Brayden Jacobs is ready to end his high school career the right way. Buford held its past three opponents to a combined 21 points while putting up games of 51, 50 and 49 during that span. They’ll look to take that momentum into the playoffs after a matchup with rival No. 19 Mill Creek on Friday.
5. Thomas County Central
Previous Rank: No. 6 (+1)
After losing to Lee County on September 28, the Yellow Jackets bulldozed their next two opponents by a combined score of 123-10. Houston County gave them a good fight on Friday night, but TCC ultimately prevailed 41-31. One of the biggest games in the state this year will go down this weekend when they host No. 11 Coffee. Part of the team’s success is 2026 Top 100 EDGE Cam Brooks, one of the nation’s top junior prospects.
6. North Cobb
Previous Rank: No. 5 (-1)
The Warriors have been untested for much of the regular season, routinely blowing out their opponents en route to a 9-0 record. Massive Tennessee offensive line commit Brandon Anderson helps anchor North Cobb’s team offensive line, but he also gets to go best on best during the week. Georgia Tech defensive line commit Kamron Cullins is another strong piece. They’re heavily favored again this week against a 3-6 Wheeler squad and should enter the playoffs undefeated.
7. North Gwinnett
Previous Rank: No. 7
Another undefeated squad, North Gwinnett got a scare for No. 25 Norcross on Friday but ultimately left with a 27-21 win on home turf. They are also primed to finish 10-0 before the playoffs begin. Georgia flip target and Rutgers defensive line pledge Braxton Kyle leads the Top 5 North Gwinnett team, which slipped up in the rankings earlier this season, but still sits safely in the Top 10. Mark down 2026 four-star defender Tyler Atkinson as a name to know. He’s being recruited as one of the nation’s top prospects.

8. Grayson
Previous Rank: No. 8
The Rams begin what will be a whirlwind week of games to make up for those they missed earlier this season due to the hurricanes and associated issues in Georgia. They’ll play this Friday against Archer, then return to the field Tuesday to host Heritage before a game on Friday, November 8 at Newton to close the regular season. They’re heavy favorites in each.
9. Douglas County
Previous Rank: No. 9
Douglas County is 1-1 against ranked opponents this year, beating Langston Hughes before dropping a 31-14 defeat to Buford the next week. They’ll close the season with maybe their biggest test to date, hosting star quarterback Julian Lewis and No. 2 Carrollton this weekend. 2026 quarterback DJ Bordeaux is leading the way here and has offers from all over the country already.
10. Langston Hughes
Previous Rank: No. 10
After climbing into the Top 10, Langston Hughes stood firm. The Panthers have crushed their past three opponents, winning by a total margin of 160-7. Before they enter the playoffs as one of the state’s top title contenders, they’ll face 6-3 Lovejoy at home on Senior Night. Georgia offensive line commit Dontrell Glover is ready to make a statement to cap his high school career.
