ATHENS, Ga. — There’s no SEC availability report this week with Georgia playing outside of the conference but the Bulldogs will be without at least two regulars on offense. Junior wideout Dillon Bell and redshirt sophomore offensive lineman Earnest Greene will not be available against UMass.

UGA is also without junior running back Trevor Etienne, the team’s leading rusher. DawgsHQ reported early in the week that Etienne is likely out until a potential playoff game in December.

Bell was spotted on the field before the game wearing a boot on his left foot. He was walking around and throwing with the receivers. He exited Georgia’s 31-17 win over Tennessee in the second quarter after being tackled awkwardly near the sideline at the two-yard line. The Bulldogs accepted a five-yard off-sides penalty on Tennessee that wiped out a nice gain but they scored on the next play to take a 14-10 lead.

Kirby Smart has not discussed a potential timeline for Bell’s return but sources tell DawgsHQ that he could be back for Georgia Tech next week. He is expected back before Georgia plays in any sort of post-season matchup.

Greene missed the entire Tennessee game while dealing with a nerve injury in his shoulder called a “burner.” Smart says that the injury is in his left shoulder and he is lacking strength and explosiveness from that joint. Prior to the Tennessee game, Greene had a streak of 23 straight starts at left tackle dating back to the start of last season. The California native was running with head strength coach Scott Sinclair on the side before the game.

Pair of Georgia RBs get in side work…

A pair of Georgia running backs were running with Greene prior to pre-game warmup. Redshirt sophomore Branson Robinson (knee) and redshirt freshman Roderick Robinson (toe) were also getting in some conditioning work.

It’s the first time we’ve seen Roderick Robinson working out this season. The San Diego native has been out since turf toe surgery this summer. The early word on that injury was that Robinson could be back in November. As more time has passed, it looks more and more like he’s going to miss the entire regular season.

Branson Robinson was healthy to start the season after missing all of 2023 with a torn patellar tendon. He played in the first six games of the season but suffered a sprained MCL in Georgia’s win over Mississippi State last month.
