Georgia inks four-star CB Dominick Kelly on National Signing Day
It wasn’t long ago that those who follow Georgia recruiting had no expectation that IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) cornerback Dominick Kelly would be in this class. He was committed to the Bulldogs but he was a 2026 prospect. After reclassifying a couple of weeks ago and getting re-rated as a four-star prospect, Kelly is officially in the fold. UGA announced him as a signee on Wednesday.
A native of Tampa, Fla., Kelly spent one season at IMG. He was committed to USC at one point during the process but flipped to Georgia in late July, just prior to the start of preseason camp. Kelly had taken visits all over the country, making his way to Penn State, Michigan, USC, Alabama, Notre Dame, and LSU.
At just over 6-feet and 180 pounds, Kelly is ranked as the nation’s No. 313 overall prospect and the No. 34 cornerback per the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that includes all four websites that publish recruiting rankings. He’s the No. 44 player in Florida.
Entering today, Kelly was one of five defensive backs committed to Georgia in the 2025 class and he is one of two cornerbacks in the class as of right now. along with Jontae Gilbert (Douglass; Atlanta, Ga.)The Bulldogs have three safeties committed in Todd Robinson (Valdosta; Valdosta, Ga.), Rasean Dinkins (Warner Robins; Warner Robins, Ga.), and Jaylan Morgan (Rockvale; Murfreesboro, Tenn.).

Georgia had plenty of suitors to beat out for Kelly’s signature. First-year Georgia cornerbacks coach Donte Williams built a strong relationship with the young defender and the Bulldogs stayed consistent with the message.
“They just tell me how they feel I fit in to the Georgia culture, as well as the scheme of the defense. It’s hard nosed, lunch pail type of mentality,” Kelly said. “They play with physicality and situation awareness, as well as stepping up in the biggest moments and pulling out wins. They always talk about assuming nothing and earning your own name.”
