The Georgia Bulldogs are back on the board when it comes to commitments, and this time, it’s one of the nation’s best for the Class of 2026, as four-star quarterback Jared Curtis announced his pledge on Saturday.

A product of Nashville, Tennessee’s Nashville Christian School, Curtis is Georgia’s first commitment of the Class of 2026.

Currently, he ranks as the nation’s No. 14 overall prospect in the 2026 cycle per the On3 Industry Ranking. He is also ranked as the No. 3 quarterback and No. 1 player in Tennessee for the cycle per the same metric.

The Bulldogs overcame the likes of Ohio State, Alabama, and Tennessee for his services.

“I’m home! Go Dawgs,” Curtis told On3’s Hayes Fawcett of the news.

Georgia’s relationship with Curtis had been building for some time, with several visits to Athens under his belt already.

“I love the way they continue to win and they are a great team and any quarterback that goes there will always have talent around them,” Curtis told On3 last September. “I feel that they will recruit the best of the best and they are a powerhouse school that will start to take over for sure. Those things stand out about Georgia.”

The Bulldogs were clearly able to impress Curtis on several fronts on that trip.

“The fans live for it and that shows how much the program is loved. I think the team is really good and they will develop even more throughout the year,” Curtis told Chad Simmons at that time. “The first half was kind of iffy with the defense, but in the second half, they came out and just dominated. It was awesome down there.”

Jared Curtis starts of 2026, 2025 already in full swing

While Curtis may be Georgia’s first pledge for the 2026 cycle, the Bulldogs are already six commits deep in the Class of 2025.

Three-star defensive lineman Stephon Shivers of Humboldt, Tennessee was the latest addition for 2025, committing to the Bulldogs on Friday and joining the nation’s currently No. 3 ranked class.

Shivers joins five-star defensive lineman Justus Terry, four-star tight end Elyiss Williams, four-star linebacker Jadon Perlotte, four-star tight end Ethan Barbour, and three-star running back Bo Walker on Georgia’s commit list for 2025.

Now, the Bulldogs will begin building both 2025 and 2026 out further, and Curtis should be a major help in their efforts for 2026.

Stay tuned to DawgsHQ for the latest on both cycles moving forward.
