Georgia lands commitment of top 150 four-star DL Christian Garrett
Georgia capped off a major recruiting weekend with a big win, landing the commitment of close-to-Athens standout defensive lineman Christian Garrett of Bogart, Georgia’s Prince Avenue Christian School.
The 6-foot-4, 290 pound defender becomes the eleventh commitment of the Class of 2025 and the second defensive line commitment of the cycle, joining three-star prospect Stephon Shivers out of Tennessee.
Georgia overcame the likes of Clemson, Georgia Tech, and Tennessee for his services.
Garrett ranks as the nation’s No. 128 overall prospect in the Class of 2025 per the On3 Industry Ranking and is the No. 10 defensive lineman per the same metric. He is also the No. 16 overall prospect in Georgia per that ranking. On3, however, ranks him much higher than the Industry at large, as the nation’s No. 62 overall prospect and No. 5 defensive lineman in the On300 rankings.
“I committed to Georgia because they have everything I want in a program,” he told On3’s Chad Simmons. “It is the school I always wanted to play for. I gave everyone a chance, but Georgia is where I want to be. The player development and hard work at Georgia was big. They develop guys at my position and put guys like me in the league. They have a plan for me. Georgia is second to none in player development and building men.”

Georgia has a plan for Christian Garrett
The view of his future in Athens is clearly exciting for Garrett, something he recently noted in speaking to On3’s Steve Wiltfong.
“What continues to excite me is how they tell me all the time the plan they have for me and that they don’t take me for granted just because I’m close,” Garrett said. “Which they aren’t because they recruit me really hard.”
